For Spring quarter (ENVS 422) I began research to create a means of modeling walkability and constructing an accurate and universal “pedestrian shed”, also known as a walkability catchment. I presented my research at the 2015 Association of Washington Geographers Conference.
And here is a web map which tells the story of walkability and pleasantness, using this neighborhood as a case study. (If the map appears blank, zoom in a little bit).
